Bridgewater had already been sacked once and barely escaped another sack on the drive

You have to suck it up and kick the ball on 3rd down
There was just too much to risk for maybe 5 yards of kicking distance that wasn't truly needed.

If it was second down, you run a play. Not on 3rd down.
