OU thrives at stopping one dimensional teams. And their weakness is the secondary. Baker is gonna have a field day.

Like they said before, one dementialish. I am a uga fan and i think it will be a rough time but i feel like uga will probably be able to put points on OU easily with the run game. It all depends if our defense can create turnovers and keep the sooners at bay, and especially keep pressure on Mayfield all day, i think if they can do that, they will beat OU soundly, if not, it will be a long day for dawg fans. I think it will be the better of the two games though as i think Clemson will dominate Bama, unless Bama gets most the linebackers back, then Clemson just barely beatd Bama. I do not think Bama is as good as normal this year though

I don't recall them playing spread teams their last few trips to the playoffs and getting blown off the field, or scoring 30.....

Maybe my memory is rusty

Clemson smacked dat ass no doubt. Point is I don't think anyone is stopping OU on offense. I may be wrong but the Dawgs haven't seen anything like this Offense and vice versa on the Georgia D. That being said when they played Ohio State their front 7 was suppossed to be dominant and OU had their way. The OLine in Norman should do fine against anyone. Should be a great game

Clemson smacked dat ass TWICE.

3 of the last 5 years you guys haven't scored 20......and got destroyed.

I think this will be a good game. I think UGA may have one main issue - the QB being a true freshman and jitters may hurt him.

But there is little doubt you guys are going to have trouble stopping Chubb and Michel.

Baker will certainly outplay Fromm......so it comes down to you shutting down the run completely.

Don't have to shut it down completely just 1 or 2 more stop than they get.:suds:

Wonder how much Kirby has secretly bet in his horse, Bama?

Kirby couldn't stop OU at all when he was at Bama in the Sugar Bowl.

...and that was with OC Heupel and a lesser quality roster. But, alas...they didn't want to be there so the win is tainted.

I'm glad that nobody can claim they didn't want to be there from here on out.

Vegas put the line out that they thought would entice the money they needed to win the book. I have a feeling they will come out ahead in this venture knowing their ability to keep putting up casinos.

This is one of the only times that the narrative helps us.

After 13 games, are you really still a true freshman? If he gets the jitters in the Rose Bowl, it will be the first time.

So now are you claiming he's going to rig the games so Alabama wins?

Jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams and such...

Why would Bama be Kirby's horse?

He was an all SEC safety when he played at Georgia in the 90's. He's at his dream job, and already had the job immediately after the 2015 Florida game.

No I didn't intend to allude to that. Simply that he hand picked the only team that needed to be hand picked.

He's swimming in TV money now. Football has nothing to do w his decisions.

Oh, be more specific. You're talking about that Kirby dude on the committee.

This thread involves Georgia, so everyone is gonna assume you mean Kirby Smart when you say Kirby.

In my opinion, the reason the lines have changed in favor of Georgia is that a lot of blindly faithful Georgia fans who have gone all ga-ga about their team being in a meaningful post-season game for the first time in about 5 years. And while it is true that Georgia has a better average defensive showing, people tend to forget that the Bulldogs gave up 40 points to Auburn in their first meeting & 28 to Missouri.

Oklahoma gives up more points on average, but they score a helluva lot more, too. The Sooners lowest output was the 29 they scored against Texas and the 31 points they scored in their road win against Ohio St. & their home loss to Iowa St. They tend to forget that they held Ohio St. to 16 points & TCU to 20 (first meeting) & 17 points (2nd meeting). Oklahoma has scored 49 or more points in six games this season; Georgia only did it once, in its 53-28 win against Missouri.

The Bulldog bettors are playing right into the hands of the bookies.

My bad. I don't want to be a Debbie downer. I've said everything I need to say on the CFB playoff.

If I'm rooting for anyone it's Georgia.

Just for the record, since Nick Saban arrived at Alabama, whenever the Tide's first loss of the season has come in the SEC Championship Game (2008) or the Iron Bowl (2013), the Tide has gone on to lose their bowl or playoff game. And Alabama has lost the last 3 Sugar Bowl games it has appeared in, including the 2014 CFP game vs Ohio St. But, this is the first time the Crimson Tide has entered the playoffs as the #4 seed, so there may be more motivation to prove themselves.

Lines update in next post.

But first, a note that the allegations against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson were dismissed. But, as I previously mentioned, the initial allegations didn't swing the line much, so neither did the dismissal.
