I'm thinking the same way but it's weird bc early I liked the way Utah was playing and I didnt like the way Oregon played. I think Oregon learned a lot in that MSU game and I think Utah has regressed. I still would take Utah's defense over Oregons' though haha.
It's a mystery. They give up more yards to GSU and EWU than MSU. While EWU scores 42, MSU 31, and GSU 28.

:noidea:

So Since Utah is better they beat MSU on the road?

Maybe?? Dont know. Being the better team doesnt guarantee you a win. It is funny to see Ducks fans talking about a road LOSS as their best performance this year though. That may not bode well for the year LOL. In reality Oregon is a gifted offensive team but they are sloppy and have played sloppy all year. Thats not anything that even a Duck fan would disagree with I think. Utah is solid in all aspects and much much more disciplined than this years Oregon team has been thus far. BUT Autzen is a HUGE difference maker. I think Oregon wins close although I did pick Utah in the pickems ( for 1 point ), most people are going to pick the Ducks so Ill take a shot on the Utes since I think its going to be close

But a loss does Guarentee not receiving a spot in your top 25.

You are confusing.

Whats confusing? A loss is a loss. If you have one through 3 weeks then you cant have one of the 25 best resumes. My poll is NOT who I think the 25 best teams are. Thats not what a ranking actually is supposed to be.

Anyway back to the game. IF Oregon can find a way to take care of the ball and limit penalties theyll win. If they dont then the game will be close and the more disciplined team usually wins close games.

actually the top 25 ranking is supposed to be who you think the 25 best teams are.

Your logic is flawed.
The logic of rankings teams based on what they've actually done instead of making assumptions about them is flawed? Lol. Right.... I'll play along. Say Wahington State had beat a FCS team by 19 while giving up 42 pts, then had played TCU tough on the road before coming home and beating South Alabama by 30. Would you consider that a top 10-15 type team? Top 25? I'll wait while you try and explain why Oregon's results this year warrant being ranked

Ok so let me ask you then why the AP, the coaches, the analysts all do their rankings based on whom they believe to be the best 25 teams? I'll wait while you explain why your way is the right way and all of everyone else who has a say that actually matters is now and has always been doing it "wrong."

and I was saying that your statement to not play the games because rankings are who people, and follow me here this next word is key, BELIEVE, to be the best teams.

I know what you're saying. I'm saying I'll use on field results and you and others can believe what you want. If you want to rank oregon that's cool. I'm not going to until they've earned it. Cool?

I didn't say people didn't do it that way. I said it's not the right way. Big difference. It's like CBB. They rank teams based on who they believe is best but when it comes tourney time they use resumes because that's the best way to do it.

I predicted Ducks to win 30-28. So, Utah win wouldn't have surprised me. But Ducks getting owned does.
