I will take those wins. Personally three little letters really don't mean anything to me. I mean come on there's not a whole lot of difference between the two, just that one requires that the Athletic program has 14 varsity sports and the other needs to have 16 varsity sports. and a enrollment requirement, plus they need to at least have attendance no less than 15,000 for two years at a football game so those three little letters mean Jack Diddly!

Ive always kind of seen Fresno State as one even though Oregon has won the last 7. The last 2 have been all Oregon but before that it was a solid game each year Oregon winning by 7, 4, 4, 3, 3. Oregon has lost 2 in the early 80s by 6 and 7.

Stanford's unofficial rivals

Northwestern and Vandy.

Yes, I know we have never played Vandy and have not played NW since 1994 but in recruiting we are bitter rivals as we recruit many of the same kids. Just last year we stole a Vandy commit and then they turned around and beat us on a WR from FL that we really wanted. So though we may not play on the field we certainly compete in the recruiting wars.

Of course there is the domers. But that is an official rival who we play on destroying on Nov 30th.

Regarding earlier comments about Oregon vs Stanford, other than CAL we will never be anyone's hated rival even if we screw then out of a National Championship like we did to Ohio State on Jan 1971. We're the good guys after all.

Thats just as good an unofficial rivaly as t.u vs New Mexico St.
