Kinda hoping it works out that way so LSU can take out #2 next week and #1 in the SECCG...lol
Who cares who is #1 and who is #2.
For Bama, it's win and you're easily in.

No. Bama is number 1 until they lose.
I think UGA has a better case for #1.
Again, ranking are pointless if you are in a P-5 and undefeated.
All Saban and Bama fans give a shit about is beating LSU next weekend.

Dude, just stop. It's discussion. The only rankings that really matter are the final rankings.
Ironic that you want me to stop while in the middle of a discussion....
In my personal, fandom self, I will watch Tuesday when the real rankings come out. I hope Alabama is #1, but it won't change anything if we are #2. What matters is beating LSU. Ask Kirby, all he cares about is beating the Gamecocks.
Maybe I've changed after watching Saban interviews for 10 years, but it's just how I feel about all this discussion about who's #1 and who's #2. I live in Georgia, and I would love for Bama and UGA to meet here, both undefeated, and have a knock out fight. But whether or not UGA is #1 and we are #2 or vise versa, I just don't really care much.
If you don't care, why are you in this thread?
It's an interesting debate on who should be ranked 1 and who should be ranked 2 as of right now. Of course, who's 1 and who's 2 after week 9 is meaningless. But it makes for a good discussion/debate. Generally when I don't care about something, I don't come in and try to buzzkill a thread for those that do.
Not my intention, but it's something I think is beaten to death. I guess this week is a little different since the committee comes out with their first ranking this week.
I can't see it being anything BUT -
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Notre Dame
4. Ohio State
Georgia's schedule is MUCH better, but I don't think Alabama will go down. The media has fed that Alabama is so much better than anyone else, and I assume the committee will feel the same.
#3 an #4 seem pretty standard though after today.
1. UGA
2. BAMA
