No doubt. Just after talking to Duffy a few days ago, good dude, gave in-depth answers, was excited about returning.

I think he was more tradeable than Panik because Panik was here for a championship.

Not surprised about Duffy, but trading Fox hurts.

Look at the career splits, man, not the 22 IP SSS.

Breathe. Get ready to powerwhine about Duffy.
Not going to powerwhine about Duffy. I like the guy but he wasn't that good this year. I'll leave most of the whining to you during GDTs.

Back to Smith, lefties hit .257/.330/.455 against him in 2015. The last time he was good against lefties was in 2014, when he got whacked by righties. I see nothing that suggests that he was ever elite. His numbers look mediocre to me.

Duffy, Mejia, Bickford, Fox, Santos, Susac for Nunez, Smith, Moore
The only ones that really hurt, in my opinion, is Mejia and Bickford. Felt like we had to give up more for Nunez and Smith than Moore. Matt Moore was looking good until he got injured in 2014. The question for me is will he be able to pitch to what he looked like then now that Righetti gets to work with him or does he continue down the line like Samardzija.

MY question is how does the exchange from Duffy to Nunez defense at third base compare. Duffy was very quick at the hot corner and without a ton of experience there he seemed as though he could be a top defensive Third baseman in the league.

I'm kind of meh on him too, would have preferred Abad. But I always defer to the fact that our FO knows what it's doing

Does this mean Kontos is gone? Or maybe Osich?

sorry for the powerwhine comment, uncalled for.

753 slg against RHB career
723 slg against LHB career

If that's mediocre, I'll take a bullpen of it.

Will miss Duffman. He was a good Giant and a great story.

I am surprised that Bickford is gone, but as they say, gotta give to get.

Hoping Moore will pitch well for us.

Fox was young and a gamble. Evidently a toolsy player, but I wasn't seeing it at Augusta. He's barely hitting over .200, strikes out once a game on average, and has made 32 errors in 70 games. He does have speed with 25 SB (7 CS). Not sure how this impacts our ability to sign other foreign players. We've not been very good in that regard, so it isn't much of a loss.

We are under the penalty for 2 more years, can only sign INTL players for $300K or less. So, we won't be players in that market for 2 years. Granted, neither are the Dodgers.

Fox just graduated HS last year, so he us still 5 years off. I loved having him in the system, but a LOT can happen in 5 years. I am with moving him.

Mejia is just about ready, but had a CEILING of a #3, but more likely a 4/5 or bully arm. I am OK with losing him.

Santos is a prospect, but has been around for a while. He never really got on my radar. I am OK with losing him.

Susac was always a trade chip. He had been fully suplanted by Brown, with Garcia as the up-and-comer. I am OK with losing him.

Duffy is an every-man. He was the first rookie to ever win the Willie Mac. But let's be honest. He was swimming in the deep end of the pool. He is the modern day Eckstein. And Achilles injuries are not minor. I am OK with losing him.

Bickford... ouch. I can only assume that the organization had made the assessment that he was going to be a bully arm at best. I have a hard time thinking they would trade a future #2 for Jeremy Affeldt.
