Makes no sense though if Ainge didn't pull the trigger on this. If they didn't have to part with Crowder, Bradley, IT, Smart and Horford and still bring on Drummond, that's ateam that can legit compete for a championship.
trade for Drummond, sign HEyward in the offseason

now THAT would be a lil scary even if its not especially realistic

I find myself agreeing with Wiggy...........:gaah:
I mean- teams will take them- but to give up valuable assets and a quarter of your cap space for a drummond or lopez or whoever seems like its pretty counter productive.

The Warriors don't have a center who can switch out. Bogut even at his best, simply went under screens. It didn't make him an ineffective piece to the team though.

What it comes down to maximizing their skill set to match with your team.

How many teams have a center, a true center, not like a small ball 4 who plays the 5 (i.e. Draymond Green), who can step outside to guard on the perimeter?

what percentage of your cap did you devote to bogut? and bogut at least was a very good screener and guy that could at least show hard on the high pick and roll

bogut makes/made 12 million.

Drummond over 20, Lopez over 20.

Bogut was the 3rd highest paid player on the Warriors behind Klay and Draymond, who had just received extensions. He wasn't quite 20% of the cap, but probably somewhere around 15% or so.

Bogut was good occasionally at picking up but a large portion of the time he went under screens or funneled to help. The latter is what any center is capable of if the coaching staff defensively schemes correctly, imo.

on offense did the warriors have some decent shooters around bogut to make up for the fact hte cant shoot?

was bogut playing during the "lineup of death"?

did you know in the 2 years the Warriors went to the Finals bogut didnt crack 25 minutes a night either year? and only ONCE in his whole tenure with the Warriors did he crack 25 a night (26.4).

I think that's cherry picking a bit.

Lopez is Brooklyn's only real trade chip right now and they're trying to rebuild. So clearly they don't need him which is why he's on the block.

Okafor is basically an after thought now with the Sixers because of Embiid.

Drummond is the real head scratcher for me.

But the thing all of those 3 have in common is that they don't have the right players around them to compliment their game. Lopez needs a Faried type 4, to hustle, grab boards and do the dirty work. Okafor would the need the same, but he's being moved mostly because he's one dimensional.

Drummond needs a PG who can incorporate him in the pick and roll and/or be willing to get him the ball in the post. He's getting limited touches on a team because Reggie dominates it so often. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that if he was on the Clippers instead of DAJ, he would be putting up close to 20 a game. He's clearly got an inside game, but it's so under-utilized to pair with his freak athleticism.

You haven't noticed over the last 2 years that he has no real understanding of how things work?
He's just on a high now cause LeDouche r$ped Gilbert and brought a title there.

You are trying to re write the history of the NBA based on the last few seasons.

Not bitter at all.
Heat started it during the 4 seasons James was here.
You really think Cavs will top what Heat accomplished?
I don't.

Bitter is your crying about Durant joining the Warriors to stomp your ass this June.

obviously you are beyond bitter from the very second LeBron announced he was ditching Mickey and coming to Cleveland.

i gotta tell ya man, at some point you are just gonna have to suck it up, and grin and bear it.

The Heat suck, the Cavs are amazing- and the Cavs even have a better LONG term outlook when you look at 24 year old Kyrie and 28 year old Kevin Love and 25 year old Tristan Thompson and 26 year old Iman Shumpert.

keep taking bites of that soggy shit sandwich. lol.

Well they have done the exact same thing so far but they weren't favorites in both Finals unlike the Heat so there is that lol

did you know in the 2 years the Warriors went to the Finals bogut didnt crack 25 minutes a night either year? and only ONCE in his whole tenure with the Warriors did he crack 25 a night (26.4).

Well again, Bogut was somewhat of a specialty need for the team. But he was a need. And again, Bogut was no force on the offensive end. So as primarily a defensive specialist as a center, he still was massively needed by the Warriors. Also Bogut had a long track record of injury history which is why the Warriors saved him in a lot of games. He didn't play in the 4th quarter just as much if not more than Curry did in those seasons and still had those minutes.

The Warriors really only went "small" during the first NBA finals against the Cavs. They switched it up because he wasn't as effective against the Cavs when they went small.

The Death lineup is unique in that of all 30 teams in the NBA there are maybe 2 others (Cavs included) who can replicate this type of lineup. But that being said, it's not the ONLY formula to winning. Not every team can have a Steph/Klay combo, or a Lebron. When you don't, you have to figure out ways to build a successful team.

So even though your correct on Bogut not being utilized with the team, it's not because his skill set was outdated. It was to create an alternate advantage. Bogut's defense was the best in the year the Warriors won the finals, even above Draymond's at the time.

Please.
Trust me on this, Id rather go 0-82 every year, forever, and live in S Florida then live in that shithole state again, let alone have to be around front running bandwagon douches like you.

Whats so hard about comrehending NOT wanting LeDouche around.

I, on CBS and here have always maibtained that.
