Our front office has finally admitted we're sellers, but we don't have many pieces that anybody will buy. Garcia was about our only tradeable asset, and we'd only just picked him up when the front office had delusions of grandeur.

They got more for Garcia than they gave up. They got two intriguing prospects that aren't far off from the majors.

Twins really screwed the pooch on Dozier. What about Ervin Santana?

Addison Reed to Sox for Callahan, Bautista and Nogosek (relief prospects). I'm cool with this.

I know very little about all of those guys. From what I've seen, Callahan was the closest to the big leagues, the others are in High-A. Relief prospects have to be the riskiest in the game, so I'm fine with this as well. Dombrowski actually made a somewhat difficult trade. That's kinda been the knock on him, "oh you can get Chris Sale by giving up your top 2 prospects, what a genius!" or "you can give up your best pitching prospect to get Drew Pomeranz, congratulations." A bit shiftier here, hopefully Kelly comes back too.

Im sure those prospects suck

As with Duda, the Mets are trying their best to stick it to the Yankees

Apparently half the league was in on Addison Reed, but he was going to Boston

Looking forward to seeing Reed with Boston. Should be a good setup man for Kimbrel.

Reed suffers catastrophic injury to pitching arm in 3..2...

Yeah, with the way most Red Sox reliever acquisitions have gone over the last 6-7 years, that would be par for the course.

Francisco Liriano - S - Blue Jays
Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports that the Astros have acquired left-hander Francisco Liriano from the Blue Jays pending a physical.

Davidi hears that an outfielder will likely be coming back to the Astros. Liriano has struggled with a 5.88 ERA over 18 starts this season, but the Astros are hoping he'll have better luck in relief. The southpaw has held left-handed batters to a .615 OPS this season.
