There's environments that are tougher than Norman. That stat just highlights how good Oklahoma has been, doesn't highlight how tough an environment is.

Unfortunately, our fans really aren't that great in the stadium week in and week out. Too much pandering to the blue hairs.

The Sun Bowl might if we had a team worth a shit. Visitors can be uncomfortable/intimidated when they realize immediately to the west of the stadium is Interstate 10, the Rio Grande and then one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in Juarez. Unfortunately, the team isn't good enough to utilize said intimidation.

Eugene isn't even the best home field in the conference, more or less the country. For all of the talk about how UW didn't pack their stadium every game, their average was higher than the ducks has ever been because it holds like 10k more seats.

No doubt Autzen is a tough place to play when their team is good, but still not top 10 in the country.

Half the conf is a tough place to play when the home team is good. Places like Cal and WSU might not ever put the fear into anyone, but UCLA, USC, UW can all bring some noise when the team is worthy of fans efforts.

I haven't been everywhere but as a USC fan I can say the Arizona schools in early sept. Oregon State or Washington state in late Thursday night shitty weather and Notre Dame when they dont cut the grass for a month are the best home field advantages against the Trojans. To me home field advantage means even if the other team is shitty you hate playing there.
