Clearly the rumors they might trade a corner are true. My guess is they are working on a deal to move a guy like Jalen Mills or Ronald Darby for a draft choice.

Not Mills, unless it is in a package of players and picks. Ideally it is Darby, who played decent. but not spectacular, and we still won while he was out 8 games.

Torrey is exactly what the Panthers need. They had trouble extending the offense deep.

After reading the idea earlier this week that Darby could be moved for a pick he was the first one I thought of when reading of this trade.

Great job by Howie. Smith was an obvious person that we could replace and would save a bunch of money. Agholor was faster, so he wasn't really the burner. I still want to see Hollins get more playing time. And I'm sure another WR journeyman will be available.

I am actually a Darby supporter, and think the guy played outstanding. Yes, he was out with injury and the other guys really stepped up their game. But Darby is far better than Mills (and I'm a big mills fan) however, if Jones turns out to be something special like originally thought (ie, a top half 1st round pick) then Darby/Jones are your starters. Mills becomes nickel package. I actually like that scenario. But Jones is still unproven. You cannot hand him that position yet until he proves himself. No way I want to get rid of Darby. Robinson was huge in the spot duty he played. I wish we could keep him. But my guess, Worley becomes that role. I don't think this means Darby is on the bubble at all.

What I do like, is Howie continues to get something for players we are moving on from, and continues to add talent to the roster. If Lurie/reid did this - instead of playing cap bowl - we would have 3 SB rings by now and would have been the NFC's version of the patriots. Awesome job FO!!

Howie needs a statue of him. The guy is the greatest trader in NFL history. He rarely loses a trade. In this case it hardly matter what Worley does, he was going to cut Smith anyway. So he got a starting caliber corner. One who is the best in the NFL in defending the double move HMM. I think they could trade BOTH mills and Darby. Start Sidney Jones and Worley, with Rasual as the backup. Either resign P Rob or draft a slot guy. Options options options.
