It's not the playoffs that need fixed, nor are they the problem here.

The problem is the conferences with their stupid divisions not putting the 2 best teams in the conference championship.

So they need to get rid of divisions. Keep conferences, no divisions. Makes perfect sense but I dont think they will do that for awhile if they do

I agree for the most part, but who's the best two teams in that conference? They just played... it's kind of a fucked situation when a team that might win the conference will probably be left out if they do for a team they beat straight up.

I'm not saying OSU probably isn't the better team, or that they don't deserve to go, and the answer sure as hell isn't to leave Washington put should they win Friday (duh). Just an observation. Can we really say every game is relevant with a smaller playoff which this kind of situation?

They couldn't do it until last year when the changed the rules. Prior to last year you had to have divisions to have a conference championship. They changed the rule for the Big12, but it allows all conferences to get rid of divisions.
