look its pretty obvious that they did what nebraska did essentially down to every last detail, so from that perspective it sucks that this kid didnt really get to do his "own thing" (maybe ifhe had been allowed to play DT and sack the QB or something like that...) and as a consequence the story wont get much attention from the media

but at the same time, im sure the kid just loved the moment and will cherish it forever and he personally doesnt care if he got to do his own thing or not

Maybe the ECU kid doesn't care that he'll "be the first" to do something like that. Maybe he's not a narcissist like you two douches and didn't care about how he would be remembered throughout history, but was just thankful for the moment and just had fun.

Oh wow.....:L

And somehow I'm a bad guy now for wanting more for the poor little guy.

Could be the start of a great new tradition across CFB. There ain't a little boy out there that wouldn't jump at the chance to do something like that.

Make a Wish Foundation is one of my favorite charities to donate to because I know how difficult life is for these kids. They literally lose their childhood. I have some very dear friends who's daughter (5y/o) woke up one morning with one of her eyes swollen and pink. They thought it was pinkeye, but when they took her to the doctor it was determined to be cancer. She spent 16 of her last 20 months in the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota undergoing chemo/radiation and every other damn thing they could do to try and save her.

Her parents rotated going up to be with her (so they could keep their jobs) and stayed at the Ronald McDonald House (another fine charity).

I am soooo thankful my kids get to enjoy their childhood.

I absolutely would have loved to do that as a little boy. I'm very happy for the little guy.......I hope it's exactly what he wanted to do. And maybe it was the wish he made for all we know.

I am simply going to just be misunderstood with my other comments.

I was assuming asparagus would take a couple more weeks before it would really start popping up, but I guess it probably depends on where you're at in the state.

Up North things aren't as green as they are down in Omaha.

I looked at my asparagus hunting grounds today. Part of it is hayed a couple times a year and it was last cut back in November. Green as hell today with a few whitetail grazing out there.

Should be any time.

I can see JJM's point. Know matter what the first thing evryone is going to think is Nebraska already did that. For the kid though I say Kudos to them. If he is an ECU fan getting out on their field and running a play with them has got to be a highlight of his young life.

As for Nebraska already doing it, imitation is the highest form of flattery and thanks ECU for the compliment. We know it was class act and are glad you appreciated it as such.

All I care about is winning by the rules when it 'really' matters.

It would be awesome if every CFB program did it. Hats off to ECU for putting that little boy first and not caring who did it first.

Like JJM alluded to, maybe some teams can put their own spin on it to make it even more special. If not, BFD. I hope it gets diluted to the point that nobody even remembers who did it first.
