BREAKING: WR Chris Olave commits to the Ohio State Buckeyes

He looks like a decent get, but I'm not seeing anything on his tape that is really outstanding. He runs solid routes but doesn't look like the quick twitch type that's going to be able to separate himself against elite competition. Solid depth.

From what Bill Kurelic from Bucknuts 247 said, Olave is an excellent route runner with very good hands. He also said he was a bit underrated in which I would agree. If Day and Wilson flew out to Cali to get this kid, I'm a believer he will be a great fit in our system.

That's a guy you like to have as an option, for sure. He's not the game-breaking athlete like Campbell, Hill, or Dixon, but he's probably more consistent. He'll be a great compliment to Babb and Blue Smith in this class.

I didn't realize that we were looking at the WR position after Babb and Smith, but from I heard, we could be losing up to 8 WRs next season? Did you know this?

8?? Didn't even know we had that many. Among those that would be eligible that I can think of are:

Campbell
Dixon
Hill
Mack
Victor
McLaurin

Otherwise I guess you have guys like EGW and CJ Saunders who barely play, if at all. I highly doubt Mack and Victor leave unless they absolutely blow up. Campbell and Hill will likely all be gone, and Dixon and McLaurin graduate.

I expect our 2019 WRs to be Mack, Victor, Jaylen Harris, Kam Babb, Blue Smith, and Chris Olave. That is a damn solid group with size for days.

I wonder if Meyer may be recruiting him as a LB? He's got the frame and speed to play the position. I think Oklahoma was experimenting with the idea?

That's a luxury recruit at this point. He's got elite size, reminds me of Rod Smith. However, if he's smart, he goes somewhere else. He'd be buried here.

Yup. I really want Walker and Petit-Friere.. At least 1 of the 2. We need an OT badly in this class.

If they wanted another LB, I wish they would've just gone after Xavier Peters. Seeing him go to FSU without putting up a fight is unsettling.

This is our last weekend for OVs I believe? I really hope Petit-Friere makes it up to CBUS. Mayer and Franklin will both have in home visit for Walker. I hope we get the last shot. Meyer the closer!

I don't know about Oats. He said he had a committable offer but I find that highly unlikely. I think he winds up elsewhere.

Yeah this is what I hate. Really talented kids that did themselves no favors in the classroom, and nobody around them cared enough to make sure they were handling business academically.
