What a way for Penn State to end their season. I admit, I was Penn State's starting pitcher today.

Nebraska batted near .400 in that ass whooping. Or can you say that when referring to Penn State losses or is that politically incorrect now?

Looking at the Schedule, Nebraska has come out flat in the first game of a series. Although, this is an elimination bracket, Nebraska does not want to lose this one.

Looking at the Schedule, Nebraska has come out flat in the first game of a series. Although, this is an elimination bracket, Nebraska does not want to lose this one.

Honestly, I don't expect them to win the tournament. In baseball you need too many things to bounce your way to win 6 or 7 games in a row. And pitching is huge in these tournaments. Nebraska SHOULD beat Purdue. The key is no errors defensively, no free base runners and don't burn thru your pitching staff early on.

The brackets are funky in that they can end up playing anybody from either bracket if they advance past Thursday. The brackets start to cross over.

Hell they SHOULD beat every team in this tournament. They have the starting pitching to beat every team they could play. Hopefully they are effective enough on offense to allow the starting pitching to go deep into games and save arms.

Ideally, you win your first 2 games and get a day off while the other remaining teams decimate their pitching staff and then get a team on fumes on Saturday

This is why it's so hard to win tournament's like this. You need so many things to go right and not have an off day. The 7 seed just knocked off the 2 seed.

Northwestern will face Minnesota tomorrow and Michigan will play Indiana in an elimination game.

Nebraska needs to get a lead early and if Hohensee can make it into the 6th inning at least, I like our chances.
