Only group that was better to me was the Herman Moore, Perriman and Barry crew of the mid 90's.

Staff is worlds better than Mitchell, but the drops over the last 8 years all have a common denominator.

I think the 2011 TEAM was better for sure. This one doesn't have Suh. Or any linebackers.

2014 First year with Austin and last year with Suh was the only year the Lions have played defense in the second half. Man it's been a long time. Even in 2011 they just out scored you, sure wasnt because of the defense

They should have never played so conservative if they knew they were undermanned on defense. It was only a matter of time before the Titans broke through, so the offense should have done everything in their power to try to put any sort of points on the board or kill the clock. Also mis-targets from Stafford combine with a few big drops lead to their demise as well. The offensive line also fell off after half way through the 4th quarter. I'm starting to seriously think Tomlinson is just not a starting lineman.

I don't even know how to look that up. But in year three of Caldwell, it's pretty clear to me that he didn't/hasnt cut down on the penalties from the Schwartz era.

The Lions will be fine. They didn't have the 'Fog' factor. I watched them win 3 games. I haven't attended the last 2 openers.

I'm starting to seriously think Tomlinson is just not a starting lineman.

Tomlinson sucks. I bet more than 50% of pressures and sacks are directly attributable to the man LT is assigned to. Every time Staff is on the ground, 72 is standing next to him.

As I said last week, LBs on this team are useless.

Finally, say what you want about how bad Ebron was up until this year. He has been outstanding this year so far.

Agreed. Of course Caldwell has some time outs left over to comfort himself this week. Terrible in game coach as well.
