I'm losing interest in the NFL because of anti-American gestures like this. These players should be thankful that they live in a great country that provides them the opportunity to achieve monetery success playing a kids game.

I've never really gotten this angle of if I can't do it why should they. The NFL in theory could throw all these guys out of work, but the drop off would make it like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Most people's jobs don't afford them that luxury.

Hopefully they rethink their stupid idea, then just get rid of the damn pregame ceremony.

Won't work. They'll start protesting during the game, taking knees as they enter and exit the field. Liberals love changing the goal posts.

The best approach is to slowly weed out the extreme lefties. This won't last forever. The generation coming up after millenials is based as hell.

I bet all the serious protesters are out of the league in 5 years, max.

Funny how this isn't a problem in any other sport.

I wish I could protest on company time at work.

You totally can!

Step one: Sign up for a web-based message board service

Step two: post during work hours

the league already has and will continue to. Mr.Casey has officially signed his last NFL contract. When it's up, he will join Mr. Kaepernick and Mr. Reid outside of the NFL looking in.

Not for such a long time, at least. I remember Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf in the NBA, refusing to stand for the anthem, but no other players joined him and he was out of the league in a few more years.

With the NFL guys, somebody made the mistake of telling them "You can't protest!"

Have the players come out after the anthem is played.
Shit, have the fans show up after. IDC.

No need to have a few hundred guys standing silently on the sidelines, with cameras in their face. Looking for controversy.

I'd like to see what happens with one of the game's better players. Kaepernick isn't better than TJ Yates but his skills aren't worth the headache.

Not to mention Casey's contract runs out in 2023 when he'll be 33 so of course he's probably signed his last deal. Now if he were a free agent at the end of the year and had another Pro Bowl season I doubt he'd be out of work.

I can see why he's upset after what just happened in Chicago. The police shot an unarmed black man, who was armed, who had a gun permit, but he didn't, who didn't do anything wrong, but ran and tried to pull his gun, who was shot 7 times in the back, but wasn't.
I think a rational person can see how that would upset a lineman in Tenn
