Ryan Tannehill
Bridgewater/Bradford loser

Some names could move around this offseason

Might add Fitz to this list.

The toughest one might be Bridgewater/Bradford...if Teddy is ready to play.

Cutler...I know how this sounds, but he's one QB even with all of his warts that could be a playoff caliber QB with a good OL and weapons...CHI gave him weapons and no OL.

Tannehill...if MIA lets him go, I'm not sure he will be a starter again. If I were NE, I would pay Grap...Brady is damn near 40 if not already 40.

I am not a Tannehill fan, but I think the Dolphins offensive line looks like a train wreck and I am not sure any QB would be doing that great there.

It will cost Miami big time for Jimmy G but let's talk.
Tank the rest of the season so Miami can send a first round draft pick for him.
Goodell's head will be spinning!

I can see Miami pulling off an Eagles/Rams-like trade this next draft. DeShone Kizer & DeShaun Watson are up.

I never understood why Miami gave him a contract. He never had a good season.
You can say that about so many teams and QBs. The panic to find a QB leads to all kinds of stupid moves. Just check the contracts of the last few years. Guys that really haven't done much or haven't done it more than once paid more per year than star LTs or pass rushers or DPOY type players. QB will always be the most important position for a football team by a mile, but when a guy is only marginally better than a $5M player, why give him $18M???

You can talk about Tannehill's shortcomings, but he and Tom Brady are the only two QB's in the NFL who have:

Thrown for 4,000 yds AND have 24 or more passing TDs AND have 12 or less INTs in the past two seasons.

Tannehill's contract will reflect that of an above average starting QB a couple years from now, and an average starting QB 4 years from now.

Thats why the Jets didnt want to pay long term. Jets were right on their opinion. Fitz is an avg QB who shows a great game every once in awhile.

No wonder AFC East race is over before September ends because of the quality of QB play in that division.

On the other hand put Tannehill on the Pats and he is a future first ballot HOFer, with couple of SB MVPs and rings.

Yeah, he's got talent and some games he looks like a legit NFL starter...but too often he doesn't do enough to win the game, especially vs the better teams.

Tannehill not only couldn't beat out the immortal Jerrod Johnson in college. He had to play WR....yeah...kind of a red flag.

Bortles might be the same guy, but he's pretty much nailed Tannehill imo.

Sure he's got talent and every now and then he looks like he should be a starter, but after 3+ yrs starting, he still looks like a project.

It would certainly help if he could stick to the same OC and system for more than a season. Who can succeed in that situation? Miami's lack of consistency in coaching has been ridiculous.

The O-line is a trainwreck due to injuries. They're on their 3rd string center, moved Tunsil from LG to LT (he did OK) last night, and the right side of their line was being abused.

Makes a good story, but Unfortunately he is neither, so...

Hopefully for Dolphin fans he isn't still around 4 years from now

Constant change is not great in the NFL for certain, but he had Philbin and essentially his system for several years I think.

Not saying he's a terrible QB, he does look good at times, but he's just not consistent and 5 yrs into this I think we still look at him as a developing player.

:nono: Not this off season, Bradford signed that two year contract, so that give Teddy time to heal up, and they can see what they got after that...
