If he is actually recovered completely from his injury, I think he is a great value pick late enough in a draft. ODB will see a ton of double teams and also the top CB on the opposing team which means Cruz will be seeing single coverage against the 2nd CB.

I smell a huge year from Cruz.

Agree or nah?

Nah..
a ruptured patella tendon is not something anyone ever comes back %100 from. There will be less speed, less explosion, and limited cutting. I'm not expecting sqwat from Cruz.

One recent example, of a skill position player, is Ryan Williams, who ruptured his 3 years ago and still hadn't played a down yet..it's very much a career threatening, if not ending, injury

By the time August rolls around we'll have a much better picture of his value. So no, I don't think he's a sleeper. We'll either know he's healthy and draft him as a low WR2/high WR3 or we'll know he's not gonna be healthy enough for value.

Maybe a waiver add that helps you in December?

I actually like him as a "sleeper". Many may be avoiding him bc of the injury, but I think he'll be a great later round addition.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

As of this post, ADP has him going 75th overall (which is the 30th WR taken). Way too early for my taste.

Besides the tendon injury/recovery, the other part that sours me about him is that since his breakout season in 2011, he's produced less each consecutive season.

Could he be a sleeper? Sure. But we're talking round 13 or 14.

as someone who does therapy, that injury is for real, and really tough to come back from
