He needs to be a linebacker or something.
The guy has absolutely no gift for playing QB.

Maybe everyone knew this already, I didn't until now.

Carry On.

he's just kinda holding down things, cause that's all we got.

He cannot run. He occasionally throws a good ball.

But yeah, that's where this team is on offense.

This can't be!!!!! Mack Brown was such a great recruiter. "MR. FEBRUARY" was his name. Surely you must be mistaken? If Mack recruited them, then they must have been gods gift to that position. Right?

Swoopes: Started two games: Lost to UCLA 20-17. Beat Kansas 23-0

He's not a world beater, but he has only started two games.

Just wanted to stick up for him a little. But yes, he's not a great quarterback. So guess you are right.

Well he doesn't have an offensive line that can give him time in the pocket.

He is actually somewhat efficient and understands his role within the extremely limited talent of his offensive teammates..

Heading into this season, receiver and offensive line were going to be thin.
But, then Charlie Strong kicked everybody off the team and made it much worse.

Swopes is surprisingly a mini-bright spot considering there is no freaking offensive players left on the team.

He is not turning it over. He is trusting his punt team and defense.
It is basically a game manager role...and he is doing a decent job at it.

Texas is going to win with defense or not at all.
They would not be able to score even if Vince Young was on this team.

Swoopes has talent. He's completing 65% of his passes, has a 128 QBR, and has 5TDs to 1 INT on the season.

The problem isn't Swoopes. The problem is his OL, and young WRs......and of course the playcalling.

Swoopes has a LOT to improve on. He's no world beater. But he's done a very good job given his circumstances. He's LIGHT YEARS more accurate than I thought he would be, and he has a cannon arm. If he gets his timing down with his WRs, and the OL ever figures out how to give him more than 2 seconds, I think the kid will be fine.

yes, I really have liked him at times. If he can start hitting those few deep balls, he'd be rolling.

A.Foreman is getting more time, and if we ever get Daje back, his productivity could skyrocket. His main limitations have been: weak line, and weak wide receiver production exacerbated by inability to run the ball.

None of those are his fault. Actually, that blame would fall on MB.

If the OL could open a hole for the RBs that would open up the passing game, and keep the defense fresh. Run blocking is easier to teach than pass blocking, but our OL is also undersized. NOTHING will help Swoopes out better than an actual dependable running game.

Kid has talent. He can make some NFL throws. He has an absolute cannon of an arm. He is a big kid with good athleticism. He has a shade problem. People see him and assume he is a running QB. His problems are with footwork and upstairs. He was always a project. He may turn out fine, but he just isn't ready at this pt.
