This is why the World Cup is better than the Super Bowl

Watching the SuperBowl, you are guaranteed after watching it for a couple hours that a winner will be determined.

Apparently, I came to find out, after wasting 95 minutes of my life. There is no determined winner in even these WC games. A tie is still plausible.

There are no ties in the knockout round and the championship final.

Sorry, constantly flopping without anyone around you is not "playing for the sport of it". I'd rather have guys fighting than guys falling on the ground trying to get a set piece.

:agree:

Don't you guys understand these are auditions? An athlete only has a few short years in their athletic careers. They need to have a post-competition employment plan. Many of them have acting aspirations and displaying those skills on the field is just a more efficient, wide spread means of displaying such skills.
C'Mon guise, use yer noggins.

oh and my last one reminds me, I watched a few minutes of a few games and I'm already SO tired of seeing players not only dive but immediately hold their hand up asking for a card.

how far do you go watching two teams get nowhere?

we're all traveling through time and space at the rate of 526 miles-per-second...think about that the next time you waste 90 minutes watching flopping prima soccerinas.

Not as much flopping as you think. Remember the action is where the ball is and that's around your feet. There is a lot of tripping and intertwining of feet during the run of play and therefore a lot of players will be tripped up and fall.

That said, there is flopping in a lot of team sports such as basketball, football and hockey. It's just part of the game.

Thus you spent 90 minutes in the same spot as when you started.

You could have just skipped it and gone right to the kick offs.

So we could say the same thing for baseball, football, basketball and hockey. Just skip the game and go to overtime. Er, I don't think so.

WTF is the "world cup?" Sounds pretty fuckin' ghey whatever it is. Is that where pussies on ice skates act tough and wear big pads even though there's no tackling?

basketball I agree, not in the others. and they don't roll 20 yards to "sell" the flop in basketball
