1983 - Gretzky reaches 100 points in 34 games

Wayne Gretzky set more than a few unbreakable records in his day, but this one in particular is sure to stand the test of time.

With two goals and two assists in the Edmonton Oilers' 7-5 win over the Winnipeg Jets, Gretzky reaches the 100-point mark in just the 34th game of the season.

He finishes the 1983-84 season with 205 total points (87 goals, 118 assists), marking the fourth-highest point total of his career.

He hits that mark in only 74 games, however, making that season his most productive in terms of average points per game (2.77).

Holy shit is right. The Edmonton Oilers haven't scored 7 goals this season. Hard to believe they had 7 in one game. It just boggles the mind.
