Why is it a sad story? The kid is grown now and cancer free, and is in the Dodgers organization.
Seems like a happy story to me, one not really worthy of taking up an entire segment of Quick Pitch this morning.
And the odds of Chase Utley remembering this meeting 13 years ago is about the same as my odds of bagging Scarlett Johansson.
Who said it was sad?
You said it made you teary eyed.
If you're crying out of happiness, you need to learn to control your emotions better.
Get back to me when puberty passes for you.
There's only two acceptable places to get teary eyed.
1. Funerals
2. When Old Yeller gets shot
Hence why I said get back to me once you pass puberty, and learn there is a lot more to life than that.
Here, I'll give you an example, a daughter getting married.
There's only two acceptable places to get teary eyed.

2. When Old Yeller gets shot
