It was cute how excited she was to give it to me, it's the first gun she's ever picked out/bought me all on her own. The model 770 is a little raw, but this is one gun I'll never get rid of. After going ammo shopping with me today, however, I think she wishes she'd picked out a smaller caliber, lol.She is a keeper!!
Ouch.Time to head out and see what this baby's got.
Ha, nice sequence of posts. Yeah, I imagine that thing kicks like crazy.Ouch.

I have a 30-40 Krag which has a metal butt plate (like most military rifles of yesteryear have) and I can only shoot like 15-20 rounds before I'm done for the day. It's crazy going from a .223 out of an AR15 to this thing. I usually end up with a bruise on my arm after shooting it, but dang it's fun. I love bolt actions, especially this with the little side loading trap door.Yup, it's no joke. I managed to shoot 20 rds and that's all I wanted. Will definitely be getting a limbsaver and/or possibly a muzzle break fer dis bitch. Finally got to reach out to 350 yds though.
Remington 770 .300 Win. Mag...

Nice weapon...had no idea elephants roamed wild down in BamaLand.
It's mainly fer those mentally challenged tigers you find roaming around these parts....
I don't hunt at all, it'll just be for touching the farthest reaches of the range when I'm feeling skrong. Big booms are fun.300 Win Mag is a great Elk hunting caliber out west here, not sure what I would use it for besides that BB. Nice to have one in the cabinet tho. Watch out for the "kicker" tho.
