I think the Suns still have the inside track on Memphis.

- Yeah, they lost 3 in a row, but none were discouraging losses, IMO, and they still lead Memphis in the standings

- Aside from the Jazz game, which Dragic missed, they haven't lost to a truly bad team since the Knicks beat them in OT over a month ago.

- They'll be getting Dragic back soon, and potentially Bledsoe back at some point.

- The Suns have a easier SOS left compared to the Grizz

Didn't your first post in this thread say you expect Memphis to surpass you? Where would that leave you?

And lets say phoenix does reach that 8th spot or even 7th come playoff time. Do you see the suns beating any of the top 4 in the west in a seven game series?

In a fairly decent draft the Suns have the ability to use or trade 4 1st rd draft picks this year and two next year.

Suns fans might just be happy to not make it and get into the lottery with that picks too.

Suns are developing nicely. Patience and another year or two and pheonix will try to compete with the Clippers, Rockets and Thunder to win the west the next 5 years

Yeah, it could happen. But this team has a bright future regardless of how the season ends. Young talent, picks and cap space to work with. If you want to rely on the lottery to turn your future around then be my guest!
