The premise of this thread doesn't really make sense and is stretching it. So a champion is better than a runner up from years and years past? What does that even mean? Who the fuck cares. Seriously, Horns, you're better than this.

Lakers fans cannot read....Give them a pass.

I have no idea how those lakers are relevant to this topic

Lakers fans were pointing out the false premise that this thread is based upon. Too bad Heat fans are unable to comprehend that.

Look out fellow Lakers fans (probably Pacers fans too), bks is going to now try and go through the boards trying to make things about Lakers fans and probably Pacers fans to try and soothe his buthhurt from the historic ass beating that the Heat just suffered.

The Spurs didn't face anyteam CLOSE to the 2000 Blazers, not sure who the best 2001 Western conference opponent was as the Lakers killed the conference that year, or the 2002 Kings.

and also, I'm sorry, I'm not giving a pass to Lebron just because he lost to a better team. Kobe got killed in 2008 because the superstars get too much of the credit and too much of the blame. In fact, Lebron has pretty much received zero criticism as far as the media goes(well outside of few others, and Skip Bayless, but I don't count him). Pretty much everyone else is going with the Lebron has no help deal again

It's not about giving Lebron a pass but to blame Lebron would be stupid. He did his part

We got beat by a better team. Simple as that so no need to try and blame Lebron for BS.

The man avg 28 PPG, 8 RPG, and 4 APG in the finals. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that he shot 57% from the field and 52% from 3 in the series.

If anyone dares try to blame lebron they're just stupid.

I agree, but it's going to fall on Lebron anyway. Like Kold said it always falls on the best player. Kobe caught it in 2008, Peyton Manning caught it for the Super Bowl, etc., etc.

It's not right, it's not fair, it's not even an informed opinion, but it's what happens.

The only game I give him a tiny bit of blame is game 3, that was the one when people were claiming the he was alone, yet the Heat made that run when he was on the bench. He had a really good 1st quarter and then fell off the rest of the game....other than that, he did what he could, but the Spurs were just on a mission. As for the media, I don't remember Lebron getting this fair of treatment after a playoff loss since the Cavs lost to Boston in 7

I agree. I'm not sure if you saw my post on the series thread last night but I stated that Lebron played really well in this series with the exception of the 2nd half of game 3

I think the point Horns was trying to make is the 2014 Spurs are a damn good team and the focus should be on that...not the mockery that we see of Lebron or the finger pointing and labeling of how bad the Heat team was.

But if you truly want to compare the 2014 Spurs you should compare them with teams that have won the title not runner ups

Fall on him from whom?
I'd say nobody that he gives a damn about.

Anyone with objective eyes could see James was the only thing that remotely made them look like they belonged in this series.

I in obviously no way wanted the Heat to lose, but after 24 hours of reflection, I'm glad they got destroyed vs losing by a little.
Riley can now make any moves he wants without hurting anyone's feelings or being questioned.

According to haters Lebron has to average 40 ppg 10 reb 10 ast, bat .380, throw 5 tds, and score the winning goal in the 86th min for the US national team for them to stop complaining

Not sure what criticism/blame coming from people he doesn't give a damn about has to do with the fact that the criticism and blame will fall on him as the best player. Or what the moves Riley may feel free to make has to do with it.:noidea: The comment was about Lebron being blamed.

The criticism of Kobe, Manning, etc. didn't come from anyone that they gave a damn about either, but it doesn't change the fact that it just happens that way.
