Love Everybody
Might need a thread just to keep all the Padres moves together at this point.
Behind the times here...but why would the Padres want an aging Dodger player with a huge contract and arthritic knee issues?
I guess when you are near historically bad at something, a total overhaul is needed. I just cant tell if they can be any better than 3rd in their division
They look seriously frisky. Like the White Sox. A team that Im not sure about but if they made the playoffs, the Padres have the pitching to do the distance.Last season with a league average 3, 4 and 5 hitter, the Pads would have won the World Series.

It sickens me to see the Padres making moves to improve their team while the Reds sit around and are fine with their team. Ugh.
I used to go on the Reds board but frankly, I'm scared of getting John mad over there. Dude is gonna show up at GABP and hurt somebody.
I go there a little bit, but it's mostly John and another guy reminiscing about the 60's. Pretty boring.
On a side note, Joey Votto is my least favorite person on the planet.
...and have for the last decade but we've been stuck in a sliding rule "5-7 year plan" of inept GMs. At least Towers maximized value on contracts. The problem is that 7-of-20 top Padres prospects have been dealt and payroll is sky high. These bats better come alive.
And just imagine if Josh Johnson and came in as a solid #2 behind Tyson Ross. The Padres would make some noise.
I watched about 10 Reds games last season and I almost got choked up watching his swing. What happened?
