I have been reading a few other forums and the Pens fans reaction is hilarious.

And he hasn't even played for them yet.

My reaction was just fine when I heard the news.

This was it

Just call him Jordan 'Suitcase' Schroeder.

he was so good for US in the WJHC. either tied or broke Doug Weights total points record, if I recall correctly.
thought he could have been a steal when we drafted him. if course, thought the same about Cody Hodgson base on his WJHC success.
Maybe I should start watching more jr hockey than just that tourney!

Oh boy. Five years of Jack Johnson?!?

hoo boy.
you know my motto "Jack Johnson sucks."

Did you also know he stinks at hockey? He's 31 and if anything his past sample tells us it's that he was real bad and played a lot. There have been 57 defensemen who have played 10,000 minutes since 2007-08 and Jack Johnson is one of them. He ranks 57th in relative corsi at -3.95% (raw 47.4% 55th overall). He is also dead last in his relative xGF% at -3.88% (raw 47.4% is 54th overall). He ranks 49th with a 5v5 points per 60 at 0.58. He can't drive play, he can't defend, and he gives you minimal offense. What's the draw?
and there's the math

As for the rest of your post, I will defer to puckhead to summarize it :thumb:

you know my motto! :suds:

Yes, mostly negative. Some optimism which is usually squashed quickly by Jackets fans.

We haven't "kept" him yet. I hope they get him signed really soon.
From what I have read about Johnson, I hope that you do keep him.

wonder if Anthony Duclair is a decent reclamation project.
fizzled out pretty quickly from 20 goals as a rookie

DSP should've taken the money while he was hot. It's his life and all but if he's one of those "I blew it all" players on an ESPN documentary in 15 years keep in mind he could've gotten Jim Rutherford to give him a 5 year $15 mil deal.

Agreed. With a new coach coming in, he cannot be sure of ice time much less anything else. Too much uncertainty. He had a good playoff run, cash in. Nothing against the guy, I hope he does not regret the emotional decision

Concussions. He's said that he won't be ready for the start of the season no matter what.

Guy's made 88mil so far in his career. Let him sit in his Columbus home, rest and get well and sign around the trade deadline and win a cup at home. :thumb:

There are rumo(u)rs out there that the Flames have met with Ryan Reaves. The Flames also own the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL and Ryan's dad was a great running back.

/Could be a ratio breaker
