Remember when Rutherford's Canes had a couple of good runs in the mid-to-late 00's and then were a barn fire for a decade?

Welcome to the barn, Pens fans.

Dammit I knew cornerstone didn’t sound right.

meh ... its semantics really ... cornerstone ... foundation ... its all the same ... you remove Sutter from the Canucks and the team crumbles ... i guess :noidea: lol

/btw ... Jimbo has moved on from calling Sutter "the foundation" and the new catchphrase is "culture carrier"

So Sutter is essentially bacteria ... and if you look at his fancy stats hes no pro-biotic ... Im thinking a trade would be a good antibiotic

I'm no scientist so this language confuses me. I need someone to give this to me in layman's terms...

Hearing Cam Ward possibly to Chicago. A Crawford/Ward 1 a/1 b duo wouldn't be the worst thing.

I have been reading a few other forums and the Pens fans reaction is hilarious.

And he hasn't even played for them yet.

All bashing him I hope?

Just gonna drop this here...

Did you also know he stinks at hockey? He's 31 and if anything his past sample tells us it's that he was real bad and played a lot. There have been 57 defensemen who have played 10,000 minutes since 2007-08 and Jack Johnson is one of them. He ranks 57th in relative corsi at -3.95% (raw 47.4% 55th overall). He is also dead last in his relative xGF% at -3.88% (raw 47.4% is 54th overall). He ranks 49th with a 5v5 points per 60 at 0.58. He can't drive play, he can't defend, and he gives you minimal offense. What's the draw?

so Columbus kept former Pen d-man Cole. I actually was upset with Sullivan for treating Cole so poorly. He was our best defensive d-man by far!

Yes, mostly negative. Some optimism which is usually squashed quickly by Jackets fans.

As for the rest of your post, I will defer to puckhead to summarize it :thumb:

We haven't "kept" him yet. I hope they get him signed really soon.

Kinda impressed he stayed, he could have easily ridden that ridiculous playoffs to a big overpayment.
