Well, I guess this will be the week 17 thread. Essentially a de facto bye week it appears to allow guys like Flowers, Hali, etc to be 100% for the playoffs with a likely rematch with the Colts.

I think Reid hates Tomlin... he tried to lose easily, but couldn't. I am not Mormon but live in Utah, so I've rooted for Utah players and coaches and against BYU players unless they are on my team. Being non-Mormon from Utah doesn't mean BYU is bad, it's just that I would have picked BYU if I were Mormon.

So Reid (BYU) is an exception. I like Mike McCoy (former Utah QB) and Eric Weddle (former Utah player), so this loss is good as long as they don't play Sean or Alex Smith (former Utah CB, QB, as you know). Carolina has Steve Smith (former Utah WR). Pitta (former BYU player) lost today (Baltimore).

I was kind of irked by that myself. Shouldn't that be the first thing the refs look for?

What are the other refs doing? There are two that are underneath the field goal posts. But the rest? What is the linesmen doing? Just making sure no one goes past the line and not looking at the formation? To the linesmen look at the formation usually for other plays?
