Gundy doesn’t win enough. They will protest his Mullet. They think they are going to land Bill Belichik or Nick Saban. Tennessee has turned into Michigan where their fans think everyone wants to coach thee.

Gundy has notified the school per his contract that he is going to talk to UT. They are meeting in Dallas evidently. Of course last time this played out Gundy was just looking to beef up his current contract and it wouldn't shock me if he was doing that again.

Apparently they said they would double his salary. I don't want to lose him but if the asking price is $8.4 mill, hell good luck in the SEC

That would make him 3rd highest CFB coach behind Saban and Dabo. That’s insane and agree not worth that much. Tennessee is desperate

How much does this hurt him in administration eyes at okie st if he comes back?

Can he even comeback after this? It’s not like the man was Bob Stoops.

Boone likes him. That's what matters.

His relationship with the AD is strained at best.

The relationship with Holder and Boone is what is keeping Holder in his position. He pissed alot of the fanbase off by almost letting Gundy leave a few years ago and after the Underwood debacle everyone is ready for him to go. This could be the nail in his coffin.

Yeah but one of these years Boone is going to call his bluff and say "Nice knowing you" and make him finally go earn the money he's making. Not many places out there willing to pay what he's already making for coach that hovers around an 8-9 win season and a beatdown by your biggest rival every year.

Well, there's always Ann Arbor.....

Gundy has elevated Boone St from an average program to a top 20 program. His problem has been they play a top 5 program every year. There are lots of good coaches that wouldn't look as good having to compete with Bob Stoops their entire career so far. I realize Stoops retired and he coached against Riley this season.

You had plenty to say about Tennessee not wanting a .500 coach in the Big East (who won after the good teams left and the Big East raided CUSA), who was also like 28-48 in conference and got curb stomped by Butch Jones 69-38. I don't blame you though. It would be weird to care more about winning football games with a guy who was said to, under oath " see kiddy diddling" than not win football games.

Schiavo never testified. McQueary at a deposition where McQueary was suing PSU for $11 million said Bradley told him that someone told him that Greg (who he assumed to be Schiano) saw something in the shower.

As far as Jones beating Schiano, Schiano curb stomped Jones the next year. You can"t point to one game. Schiano beat Petrino when he was with Louisville and ranked No. 4 . Does that mean Petrino is a horrible coach?

Never said I believed it. Just don't want to deal with it. Not my thing. Plenty of coordinators out there who are mediocre and don't have a cloud around their name.

Trust me I'd be fine with Natty's won with guy's like Aaron Hernandez. Never heard anything about him harming children.

But there is a lot of Tennessee fans some of which were high profile that said it.

Seeing how the fans control the Athletic Department, who does Tennesse fans want? They should send a list to Currie.

Ah Mr. Mullet....you would think by looking at him and noticing that Okie drawl when he speaks that he knows football, hair gel, how to collar an ornery rattlesnake and that's about it.............

BUT, don't be fooled.

This is one of 3 plays.
1. He wants more money to lose to OU every year from T-Bone.
2. He wants everyone to talk about him, even though he just went 9-3, hopefully to deflect the fact that he's making $4.2mill a year and he just went 9-3.
3. He's looking to retire in 5-10 years and wants to be comfortable.

The fourth and obviously bottom line scenario is that he's sick of getting his dick kicked in every year by those Nompton boiz.

The thing about Leach being at Tennessee is he might not win a championship as often as the fans would like but you can bet he would frequently fuck up a lot of other teams' chances to win championships too. The guy would be dangerous in the SEC and nobody would look forward to playing him.
