^ Southie that's some good research to counter what I've said, but if doesn't dismiss the narrative of the sports media at the time of the game. Still, good research browsing old posts and quoting them. I have never been able to do that sort of thing.

That regular season game was epic though. All that complaining from Pats fans about the officiating, yet had the refs called half the holding penalties they should have the Broncos may have run away with that game. The Pats even had a scoring play (Bolden TD I believe but I could be wrong about the player's name) that should have been a 10 yard holding penalty. I noticed not a single Pats fan complained about that non-call!
