Right Junkie, I see us taking Warmack in No. 16 and trading No. 22 down to No. 26 with Green Bay to get Hopkins. Taking Warmack allows us to trade away Saffold for picks...

I'd be really disappointed if we trade up. This Draft plays out 1 of 2 ways. Either:
1) QBs and WRs get taken early which gives us the choice of Warmack, Cooper, Vaccaro, Cyprien, Ogletree, Hopkins, best DT etc at #16 & #22, or
2) QBs aren't picked early. We have a restricted choice at #16, but have plenty of trade partners for #22.
Ideally i'd take Warmack/Cooper at #16 and trade #22. Failing that best DT available, best S, or Ogletree. I know DT is way down our list of needs but it's likely to be BPA and I don't like risks, especially boom/bust picks, in the 1st round.

I like the Rick Rude avatar. Good memories.

I just don't see the incentive for teams to trade back into the first round for a QB. It'll likely cost them a 1st rounder next year and there is a good chance that next year's draft will be much more talented.

And there is always the possibility of taking fluker at 16 if Warmack/Cooper are gone. I like the scenario that Vita presented and it just may play-out that way.

If Fluker drops, we take him. The Rams gave him 2 visits really early on in the process. I just think Fluker's stock has raised above Warmack and Cooper just because he can play RT and be a dominant run blocker as well.

Yea Clayton, especially if we trade Saffold which Fisher/Snead have said they were NOT interested in doing. That may be just draft clandestined talk to keep their moves close to the vest. If Saffold goes and Fluker is there and Warmack Cooper are gone, take him!!

I think Cooper is better than Warmack and Fluker is a value because we do need the RT. Even though Fisher reports Saffold is fine with RT, friction is always a problem. Fluker is a RT and with Jake Long at LT via no friction. As far as the OGs, I take either if there + Roc at RG next year and Dahl becomes available also besides Saffold. If Fisher and Snead are smart and lucky with the picks you get, pick up Kyle Long also with a #2, take care of the Rams safety needs, best WR on the board and the OLB if we don't think the FA signing is going to work out and I haven't heard a word about that in the past 3 days.

The Fluker pick justification is to have him available to play guard the first year and be available to play RT if Jake Long gets hurt again and we have to move Saffold back to left tackle.

I think its more about the pay scale and how you can sign a guy to five years compared to signing a 2nd rounder for 4 years

I understand that Cub, but lets just for the sake of it, hope Jake Long stays healthy. If by all that Fisher thinks about Saffold and the RT position is good then I wouldn't draft Fluker just to play OG. I would take the BPA or safety, work the #22 for picks and draft Klye Long for the same duty. He has already played LT, RT and OG at Oregon via not really too experienced but a better value if the reason we would take Fluker is in case of an injury. That way we get the starter at #16, another with #22 or the trade out and Long at the OG spot or long haul starter at RT when Saffold goes.

I think you're right about Tavon, but I've seen a few respectable mock drafts that have Warmack there at No. 16. Also think the Texans take WR is Hopkins is still there, I'm sure Patterson and Auston will be gone by 27. And I think he could be the best of the bunch, he is so talented and put up some monster stats for such a young guy. No doubt he will be in over his head where ever he lands, dude is just 20 LOL. That's pretty young to be in the draft as a WR...

The latest from NFL access is the Rams are entertaining possibilities to trade up to get "their" player. That only means the Rams are going after Austin. This is a stupid move at best. Austin is a reach at 13. That means they are going to trade down at 22 to pick up additional picks late in the first and more in the early second. That means there is a strong possibility they are going after Austin and Hopkins with Kyle Long in play early in the second along with a saftey such as Thomas or Elam that may drop to the early second.

Gents -

I probably will not be around tonight, but will speak with you all tomorrow.

I think alot of this is BS. I hope that they are not trading up for a 5'9 WR with speed. We shall see.

Go Rams!

I can't imagine that they are going to trade up. This isn't a draft with an obvious playmaker worth trading up for. You trade up for Austin as a GM and he has injury issues, you're likely to lose your job. Anyways, the last Walterfootball mock of the year:

1a. Ogletree LB
1b. Deandre Hopkins WR
2. Jonathan Franklin RB (meh)
3. Shamarko Thomas S
4. Hugh Thornton G
5. Ace Sanders WR
6. Terry Hawthorne CB
7. Micah Hyde CB

Kinda surprised that they don't think the Rams will have S be a higher priority

OK guys, Junkie and Vita it should be interesting, I don't want them to trade up either. I want Austin, I think he is a difference maker but I want him if it is #16, not to trade away picks we need.

RAMS might trade up then get some picks back from trading down from 22.
