Damn...Michigan's defense sucks, it gave up 17 points to Florida's offense.

FYI -- when they list Michigan's PPG for the defense, it includes return TD's, special teams TD's, FG's and all of the above. If the offense turns the ball over at the 1 yard line, it still counts the same as if a team goes 99 yards for a TD.

So yes, Michigan did give up 17 points to Florida.

And only a dumbass would say Michigan's defense gave up 17 points to Florida's offense, but it sounds like you are so...

I honestly don't know how to evaluate Wisconsin yet

Utah State is bad, they just got ran over by Wake Forest
FAU is a turd as well
BYU is not very good this year, their offense looks god awful in every game they've played.

they've looked good but you have to consider the competition.
All I can say is that the scores looked they should. They were expected to beat those teams soundly and did. I'm curious is Hornibrook can keep it up and how the D will play deeper into the season.

Here's an actual fun fact . Missouri scored 72 points week 1. We are now through 3 games and they aren't averaging 30 ppg... Lol

Man they are truly awful. I can't see them winning an SEC game this year, and hell they may go winless overall.

Well they've already won a game but after they scored 72 week 1 I said that was more than they'd score in SEC play combined and I was dead serious

I meant winless from here on out. But yeah, they'd need to average 9 ppg in SEC play to match the 72 they scored in week 1. I think they'll get more, but it'll be close lol.

At this point, they've made some improvements on things that seemed to need it weekly. If they keep that up they'll be fine.

The one thing I'm concerned with is they usually shit themselves in a game they shouldn't...it's just kind of what they've done, historically. So any talk of 12-0 is ridiculous in my opinion.

I will say the same thing I said earlier -- I can show you a dozen links to defensive PPG leaders and every one of them will count 17 points against UM against Florida. Show me the links where Florida didn't score 17 against UM. Doesn't matter if they had int returns, just like it doesn't matter if the offense takes over at the 1 yard line, it still counts for PPG.

Total defense and defensive efficiency gives you a more accurate description to how your defense is playing.

I read earlier today that after 2 weeks Missouri's offense was averaging 600 ypg

And now you've shifted from your original statement. Thanks for playing.

Of course it's ridiculous . So is saying historically they shit themselves. This is a different team. Every year is a different team. I picked 12-0 at the beginning of the season and I am sticking to it. I may be wrong but I am not ridiculous.

I didn't shift anything. Michigan averaged 40.3 ppg last year. When you show me something different, I will gladly say I'm wrong. I'm still waiting for you to post that though. I've asked multiple times now.

Yes Michigan did. Michigan's offense, did not.

And I will ONCE AGAIN ask for you to provide a PPG link that says UM didn't average 40.3 last year. Shouldn't be difficult with how you talk. I will wait patiently.

Are you that bad at basic math that you need somebody to calculate it out for you?

Yes, and it's normally from the QB spot that screws the Badgers. For instance Stave against Iowa, as he literally gave them the game with his turnovers.

Another factor is the defense. Although it's at an all time great and has a 4 year period now of being top 5 or so in PPG we still have that weakness in the Armour to some times relinquish the desperation bomb. It almost feels like they need to practice what USC did when preparing for Penn St in just playing jackpot aka 50/50 balls. CB's need to turn their heads around and must out leap the WR for the rock. We have the athletes and cover corners to do this but the awareness is another aspect.

FPI has us as the favorites for a reason and We're a better team than anyone else on our schedule but we do have that history of having a mistake or a blown coverage ending the undefeated talk. If we don't beat ourselves with penalties and turnovers and don't relinquish those 50/50 balls then we will be difficult if not near impossible to beat. I feel better about this team than I did the RW team since we have a defense and an accurate QB.

The combination of our schedule, talent, coaching staff, and experience is why this season is easily their best opportunity to win out. I'm really enjoying Jim Leonard's defense right now. His second half adjustments are excellent. Much more emphasis should be stressed on starting out better especially since we will be facing offenses much better than our previous opponents.

I do have more faith in this QB and defense than any previous one. Combine that with our schedule and we have a higher chance than almost any other team out their to win out.
