The Spurs did not run out of gas in the Finals.
They got beat by a better team.

Heck, if their 21 year old starter Kawahi Leonard had been a bit older and experienced, he might not have missed that big freethrow in game 6.

The Spurs were right there to the very end.
At no point in time were they ran off the court by a younger HEAT team.

In fact, the HEAT were the OLDER team.

Thunder will want revenge on the OverHEATed for the loss in the Finals 3 years ago.

They now have Cs who can guard quick people. They did not 3 years ago and the OverHEATed milked that big time. Miami won't be able to do that this time around.

Anyone who can get past my native city's Thunder should be favored in the Finals.

OKC! OKC! OKC!

Why do people say "spurs are old" only Duncan and manu are old

Your talking about arguably San Antonio's 2 best players there.

Ask Danny Ainge about trying to win titles with past-their-prime stars.

He hung on to Pierce and KG at least 1 year too long and my adapted city's Celtics are paying for that.

In the last two minutes of game 7, WHERE were Duncan and Ginobili?

Duncan was ON THE BENCH. Ginobili was turning the ball over at an unprecedented rate.

AGE catches up to everyone, and it caught up to them. They were gassed.

That's fine, I didn't ask if you did lol.

I hope he's prepared to carry the team on his back, because that's going to be the requirement if they want to win anything in the playoffs. All teams really have to do is focus on Harden, Dwight has no post moves anyway and he would just get fouled in the 4th quarter.

Most players average more points when they're top dog on a team of role players lol. So now that defenses will focus more on Harden, he is less liable to choke?

Houston is a regular season team
.

We won't know this until the playoffs. If they get to the 2nd round and lose to OKC or SAS in 6 or 7 hard fought games, I think your theory about them being a regular season team will be proven to be BS.

He had one bad series in his playoffs career. He was awesome in the 3 previous series before Miami. Harden was acually one of the main reasons they gave SAS the backwards sweep that year. Who can forget his 20 points off the bench in a crucial G5 in San Antonio.

Every player has at least one bad series in their career. He has one bad series and all of sudden he is some big time choker.

I am with Brahm. The Celtics hel onto KG and Paul too long by one year. Ainge got a little lucky with the Nets. Knowing when to move on from your stars of the past is a challenge. When you get it wrong it takes years to recover

Why it couldn't be that they just played bad the last 2 minutes?

The SPURS best player is probably Kawahi Leonard as Coach Pop has said many times including yesterday at the presser.
But they don't really have a best player anymore that is immediately obvious.

The Spurs don't have to worry about their #1 option being old as they don't have a #1 option.

They only have one guy with a PER above 20. (barely)
Yet, they have a staggering 9 guys with a PER above 15 who play real legitimate minutes.
It might not be a perfect way to win a title, but that is what SA has been the last 2 seasons.

People are always about 2-3 years out of date with their Spurs knowledge.

Yeah, thats my problem with the Spurs: they don't look better than anybody legit. They don't have a top 10 player. Last year, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan were both top 10 in PER. This year, they don't have a single player in the top 20
