Would be great if Miami was indeed the best team in the ACC. Would be a nice win for the Gophers in the B1G/ACC Challenge, if they get it.

I feel like they are the safe pick to be #1 in July, but once the games start my money will always be on Duke and/or UNC.

Yeah I get why they are #1 at the moment. Duke and UNC both lost a ton from last year. And I don't think Duke's recruiting class is as good as it was last year either. Having to pick up Tatum, Kennard, Jackson and Jefferson production with a less talented freshman(although still very good) will be tough. And UNC will have no frontcourt to speak of losing Hicks, Bradley and Meeks along with Jackson. Berry and Pinson are going to have to be big next year.

Yeah, I'm questionable about UNC. I wasn't expecting Bradley to leave early. ACC is probably going to be weird next year.

Yeah, my guess is it's going to be wide open. Had Collins stayed another year, it wouldn't have been out of the question for Wake to be heavily in the mix.

I still think they'll finish better than #9, but won't be top tier.

Les wasn't fed false information, imo. Dinos was either offered more money or he wasn't being entirely truthful.

Either way, this a loss for Wake due to the lack of depth at the PF position. I personally hated watching Dinos play. He was a stiff that couldn't play defense on this level and he hasn't been able to knock down the long range ball at a decent rate since his freshman year (He was 25% from 3 PT range during ACC play this past year. That's awful).

He improved on the block (which is expected, when your coach is Danny Manning), but that still wasn't an area of strength for him. At the end of the day, Dinos was a 6'10 big that shot 42% from the field and was terrible at defense. That is pretty bad. However, the lack of depth hurts and Wake is going to be forced to play small ball a lot next year.

2018 stopped being the year for Manning's potential breakout season when Collins left. This is just icing on the cake. This could end up being a blessing in disguise in the long run, as it opens up PT for talented freshman, Olivier Sarr. It could hurt short term, because Wake figured to be a bubble team this year with Dinos.

Sad news Hitman. Dickie Hemric was a fantastic player. He was also a great rebounder and is in the Top 10 all-time in collegiate rebounds.

Whole thing is just weird. This isn't a Duke thing, btw. Want to point that out if it sounds like I'm trashing on Duke.

Also, Bagley re-classifying should to 2017 should push Jaylen Hoard one spot closer to 5* status on Rivals and 247. He's already a 5* on Scout and Rivals.

He is a monster. Key for Duke IMO is Duval, they have alot of bigs, if he run the show and get guys the ball, they will be tough. Only a few teams can match up with their size

Wake landed a grad transfer today. Terrence Thompson, formerly of Marshall and a native of Durham.

He's set to replace Dinos Mitoglou as the starting PF. Seems like a good fit. Isn't as good from deep as Dinos, but has a very similar PER to him and has good rebounding numbers. Hoping he'll be a better defender.

Thompson could honestly be the difference between the NCAA's and the NIT for Wake. Not that he's going to light the world on fire or anything, but will give Wake another guy that has length and can rebound the basketball.
