Yeah, when I saw this I was puzzled because I thought it was down to GT and Syracuse. Weird how Duke can come in at the last second and steal him. Hurts for Syracuse for sure, but just imagine at how GT and their fans must feel. This is a hometown kid and someone was able to come in at the last second and just scoop him up.

I thought he was your boi's recruit. Fn dukies. :L

M.J. Walker goes to the Noles. We got a pretty decent class now.

Tony Bradley staying in the draft. That hurts UNC quite a bit.

Speaking of ACC, Pittsburgh can fo F*** themselves. Holding Cameron Johnson back from possibly going to UNC even though the kid already graduated from Pitt. Grow up and let him choose where he wants to go.

Kid graduated in 3 years and will have two years of eligibility remaining. Impressive. Looks like he had to redshirt one year due to injury.

Apparently, FSU is one over their scholarship limit after nabbing 5* M.J. Walker. A decision will have to be made soon.

How are they doing that? Is that even possible?

Why should Pitt let him go to a rival ACC team???

Good question!!! I have no idea if a team has any say in where a graduate transfer goes.

Yeah I wouldn't think they would. Once they graduate you'd think they'd have no power, heck even if the player wasn't a graduate you'd think they wouldn't have much power.

The only power they have over undergraduates is not releasing them from their scholarship at all but after they release the player I don't see how they can control where they go. I agree with your comment about graduate players but we all know the NCAA has some weird rules so maybe that is one of them???

Because the negative press it causes isn't worth it. UNC is going to beat Pitt next year with or without Johnson on the team. Plus taking basketball out of the equation, he is going to graduate school, seems rather immoral to deny a kid from going to a school for that reason alone.

FWIW, if he was still an undergrad, then he wouldn't transfer within the conference. If a kid transfers within the ACC, then he would have to sit out two years, instead of just one.

Really not sure what Stallings is doing.

Not even Jeff Bzdelik could pull that shit off.

I doubt Pitt cares about negative press for this and whether UNC will beat them next year or not. I don't agree it's immoral to deny a player a transfer within your conference. However, there is still the question of how a school can control a graduate's transfer?

Agree! I was not impressed with the Stallings hiring in the first place and he's just lowered that impression even more since then. Looks to me like rats escaping a sinking ship!!!
