Slipping to a better team is probably the best thing for him he's the least pro ready of the top QBs in this class.

So all reports are the Browns are going to take Mayfield.... this is about to be a huge fail draft for them if they don't land Barkley at 4...

Given they've been indecisive on all QBs (they liked Darnold initially, then Allen, now Mayfield) and one of those 3 is guaranteed to be available... just fucking take Barkley?

I wouldn't either. However, the cost for doing so significantly lowers after the fifth pick. A team sitting at #11-16 might not need to use a 2019 first round pick to trade up if they wait till after the fifth pick.

They will... by taking Mayfield at 1 and then watching Barkley go prior to 4... if they land Barkley at 4 they get extremely lucky.

My prediction is they'll take Mayfield (who will bust naturally), then when Barkley is not there at 4 they'll trade down and pick up a couple pedestrian guys who will bust...

Fast forward to next year. "The Browns have a lot of picks and should be able to massively improve their team this year!"

Outside of that, Mayfield has happy feet, not a great arm, and terrible footwork mechanics. Reminds me a lot of Dak Prescott... needs a heavy WCO (with a great running game *COUGH BARKLEY COUGH*) and decent defense to get the job done. However, WCO QBs are used to lining up to Center, something Mayfield needs to learn.
