I was thinking about Kobe's last game and it occurs to me that we Lakers fans have been pretty blessed. Look at all of the great players that we have gotten to see retire as Lakers or spend a significant portion of their careers as Lakers.

It's pretty mind boggling to think about.

I think Kobe will be taking a year off before becoming involved with the NBA again.

Could also see him move to Europe to do something there.

If I had to guess, I'd say they will officially retire #24 because that's the number he wore when he led them to the last 2 titles and was the number he wore when he retired. I think they will "unofficially retire" #8 by just not issuing it again.

Looking like the Jazz will have nothing to play for (Houston is winning). They should just stand around and let Kobe shoot for 48 minutes so the Lakers can get the win
