We've got the talent for sure, but there are a lot of first year starters, especially on defense.

You're not gonna be able to get the same production from your linebackers when you lose Roquan Smith, Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy. All 3 are in the NFL right now.

But the offense has moved the ball well all year, they just aren't executing to finish off the drives. It looks to me like Jim Chaney is trying to make this a passing offense, which is fine, and I expect some growing pains for the new RB group as well, but I think what we'll miss most about Michel and Chubb is their pass blocking ability. They were both great blockers in the backfield, and with an ultra talented, but very young o-line, they're gonna need some help while they gel.

I've conceded that we're not really natty contenders this year, but I also think this will be the worst roster we have for the next 4-5 years.

Just so happens that the other time we played the CBS game, we played our best game so far on the season.

When you play shitty against Missouri @ noon and shortly after the game ends, VT loses to ODU and Oklahoma has to play OT against Army, people tend to forget things like that.
