Syracuse at Maryland--not a gimmie???

Syracuse just came off an exhausting game at Cameron on Saturday. Now they have to travel to Maryland today. Maryland had the weekend off and stayed home to work on breaking the zone. Maryland has just lost one home game in two months; think it was Pitt. Last week barely lost to Duke and Cameron. This game is no "Walk Over" .....and IMO a must win to maintain a NR1 seed.

At the half; Syracuse by 8....Maryland has so many turn overs...maybe they want to lose this. Ennis made a 35 footer as the busser sounded, or the lead would have been just 5. One big problem for Syracuse is Grant went out early with a back issue..not sure if he will be back for the 2nd half. That's a big blow for Syracuse. Had it not been for the obscene number of stupid Maryland turn overs, this game would be quite a different story.

That back issue is a continuation from last game. Compounding that is CJ has 3 fouls in the first and sat out the last 5 minutes.

Guess boeheim hasn't learned that stall ball is beyond dumb. Took 2 extremely tough shots to win and still almost lost. I could be wrong but Maryland made like 3 baskets in the last 9 minutes and made up a 13 pt deficit
