Streamer Advice Thread

Any info on McCarthy's start tomorrow against the Cardinals? I own him and looking for the QS. I wouldnt mind if he got me 7-9 K's in 6-7 innings if he ended up giving up 4 ER also. Advice?

Velocity seems to be improved, striking people at a nice rate, which is new for him, has been pitching very well since he got clobbered. I like him, but I think I'd take a wait-and-see approach with him against the Cards. If he still looks good after that, he's got an appealing start against the Mets coming up.

The good - He has 18 K in his last 18 1/3 i.p

The bad - His road e.r.a is up around 6.00.

I think I would pass, as the Cardinals have been hitting a bit better as a team over the last few days.

McCarthy pitched well, although he didn't get a W. My mistake, next start is Monday against the Padres, not the Metsies.

All I needed was the QS. I had planned to start him up until about 5 minutes to game start. He really didn't look too good watching on tv. alot of balls in the air and got into trouble more than a few times.

Alvarez is the best of the three and Houston has been hot. Arrieta could do well, but he is a real wild card and struggles with control. I would agree with your choice.

I don't know what to do with McCarthy. One week he pitches very well against a very good team then the next start he pitches mediocre. In 12 team league (QS) with 12 starts per week I don't know if he is worth holding or considering just a streamer? As of right now I think I will hold but I think I will hold and sit unless I need a stream hitter or pitcher then he may be the first to go.

McCarthy's career has been very inconsistent. He is definitely on the bubble, so don't be scared to turf him. He can be dynamite sometimes..... very frustrating.

No need to hold. He is a streamer through and through. A solid streamer, but still a streamer.

Would you own Beckett right now or still just a streamer? Seems he has made changes to his pitch arsenal and using different pitches with success.

I may start Cingrani tonight against ARI because they don't h it lefties very well. I also think Cingrani will be working hard to try and stay in the rotation. What you all think?

Not Liriano. He is walking too many.

I don't like any of these matchups at all. Elias is out.

I think Cingrani is the best, and Skaggs is number 2, but like TKO said, I might pass on all of the above.

I think I will try Cing tonight and I am not sure about the other start yet. I am beating my opponent right now so I may just give it a whirl.

Didnt get the QS with Cingrani tonight but didnt hurt my ratios really.

Also De La Rosa coming up I may start him Saturday against the Rays. I think it will be a good opportunity to show off his dominance. I also feel this is probably my best option out of the guys I mentioned above.
