Streamer Advice Thread

Saturday streaming for the QS...

Cosart, Colon, Koehler, Tomlin, Norris, Deduno. Pick one please. ;o

Im leaning towards Cosart. Not sure if that is a good choice or not. Someone who is good with matchups have advice?

Looking at the opponents, and how each team does home and away, I would also go with Cosart. He has done very well of late, and, even if he misses the W, he should still give you a quality start.

Without looking at matchups I would also say the same thing, that Cosart is your best option at a QS from that group. Tomlin would be my second choice.

First off, let me say that I don't love any of these. This is not the best day to stream if these are your options. but here are a few thoughts on each.

Not Deduno- The Mariners aren't so bad vs. righties and Deduno is nothing special

Cosart vs White Sox- White Sox are among the best in the majors in wOBA (6th) and iso (5th). Not a good team to stream against.

Colon vs. Nats- The matchup here is pretty sound. The Nats are below average against righties, but Colon can blow up against anybody. He is very capable of delivering a QS, but he is risky

Koehler vs. Giants- The Giants don't get on base too efficiently against righties, but they have the 6th highest iso in the majors. Koehler has pitched well lately, but the red hot Giants are likely to get to him.

Tomlin vs. A's- A's are fifth in wOBA vs RHP. Not a great matchup for a young pitcher.

Norris vs. KC- The Royals actually present the friendliest matchup and Norris was great in his last outing. Royals are 23rd in wOBA and tied for 29th in iso vs. RHPs.

Like I said, I don't like any of these, but gun to my head I am picking between Colon and Norris, and likely landing on Norris.

Yeah, that would make it tough for him to start tomorrow. Was a good streamer for today though.

Roark isnt a FA in my league. we have 12 teams and 28 total spots on a team. can start up to 12 starts a week so alot of SP are owned. id say on average each team owns 7-8 SP and then streams a few. I can wait for sunday for Jimenez, Arroyo, T. Wood, Vogelsong, Nolasco, Nicasio, Danks, J. Turner, J. Garcia (who I already planned to add after Saturdays streamer start)

In that case, I would go with one of the guys from today. Colon if you feel lucky, Norris if you don't.

As for tomorrow, it is probably not wise to use Garcia. He has not pitched in a long time and it is never safe to assume that he will be the same guy he was before injury. I would keep an eye on him from afar for at least a couple starts before pulling the trigger.

Travis Wood looks like the best option of the group without looking at the matchup data. I know that his matchup is solid, and I personally do not trust any of the other pitchers on that list.

Sure, Koehler had the best line, but my picks of Colon or Norris + Travis Wood today look pretty good. 3 Quality starts and 2 wins if Rondon can finish things off.

I did actually end up taking Norris. Sorry I didn't post my update haha. Thanks for the pick. I'll continue to use this thread for any time I need a streamer if that is alright...?

I read that website very frequently. Some of the guys you mention are already owned. As I said before SP's are diamonds in my league and everyone wants em.

I was just saying who ended up with the better stats of the 4 pitchers wasnt saying the advice was bad cause nobody can predict baseball with 100% accuracy How many experts sat Kershaw saturday?
