Yeah, last night was a tough pill to swallow. After the game I actually turned my phone off and went to bed. It even took some time this morning for me to get out of that funk.

But, we're still in the playoff hunt. Notre Dame is a good team, and we played very well in a hostile environment against the reigning Champions and Heisman winning QB. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Now, if we can just take care of business and win out, which is going to be a tough task with games still @ASU and @USC. If Golson can play mistake free football, like he did last night, we can definitely finish this season at 11-1 and at least have a legitimate chance at the playoffs.

Season's not over, boys.

We need other teams to lose a 2nd game though. If everyteam in the west gets 2 losses by the end of the season while Oregon lose a 2nd game, our chances are great if we go 11-1....but if there's a ton of 1 L teams we are in trouble

I agree, the good news with the playoff system is the season is not over. Plus our players shouldn't have their heads down, we out played the defending champs at their place. sucks that the Refs ruined the game(this was one of the best games of the season). Wish the players could battle out the out come of the game but I agree we need to move on and we are in good shape. Just have to win out and we are in good shape.

4 teams that make it
FSU
2 SEC teams
ND( we want FSU to run the table)

Outsiders looking in MSU, Oregon, TCU.

there won't be tons of 1 Ls teams. This is what I'm trying to tell you. There will only be 2 1 Loss SEC teams and then u have FSU. We don't have to worry about MSU, TCU or Oregon.

SEC teams that have 1 loss still have to play each other.

And you know this how?

Why don't you have to worry about MSU, TCU, or Oregon? If MSU goes 12-1, they would have beaten Nebraska (2x), Ohio State, and played Oregon tough on the road. Oregon on the other hand would have beaten UCLA, Stanford, UTAH, & either UCLA, USC, or ASU in the title game. TCU if they win out would have way better wins than we do. If TCU doesn't lose again it would mean they have beaten OU, OSU, WVU, & Kansas State. The only team out of those 3 who wouldn't have better wins than we is maybe Oregon. But if TCU or MSU runs the table, they get in before us as both would have better wins with their 1 L being a close L on the road to a top 15 opponent

There's still a lot of football to be played.

The landscape is going to change drastically from now to the end of the season.

We're #7, all we can do is worry about ourselves, we just need to take care of our own business and win out.

I agree. I'm just saying 11-1 doesn't make us a lock for the playoffs.

It put us in the discussion for sure but no way are we a lock when you really consider our schedule

Ok and ND would of beat USC, Stanford and ASU. their 1 Loss would be to the Defending champs on the road on a last sec play.

I don't know how u can't see this. Its very simple. TCU would jump us that its a Fact. oregon is your best argument and to honest its not much of one. ND would play similar teams as Oregon.

ok maybe its not 100% but I would put it at 90-95% lock. Our schedule is the same and if not better then the teams in the running. We have a tougher schedule then MSU, TCU and Oregon.

Stanford doesn't look good. Have you been watching football? They're a 3-3 football team with the games against Oregon, UCLA, & UTAH. That team is a 7-5 football team if they're lucky. USC still play on the road against Utah & UCLA. My guess is they lose 1 of the 2 so if we beat them that makes them 8-4 which is really nothing special. Arizona State still have road games in Washington State, Oregon State, and Arizona. Our best win may very well be over some 8-4 Pac 12 team

LOL thats my point. Its almost the same schedule as Oregon and Oregon would have lost 1 game and we played #1/#2 team in FSU on the road who are the defending champ with the Heisman winner. Oregon doesn't play anyone close to FSU. This is my point. U are arguing with me about Oregon but we play almost the same schedule(meaning we play a good part of the Pac 12 schedule with USC, Stanford and ASU.

I did say Oregon is the only team of the 3 you mention that we would have a case with if all of us finish with 1 L.

MSU & TCU would have better wins ans losses on the road against top 15 teams

MSu would not and TCU no way. there is no way TCU would jump ND. That is a fact. They lost to Baylor. Im not afraid of a Big 10 team. Their schedule is super weak.

How is their schedule super weak? What are you talking about?

They already beat 2 top 15 teams and play WVU #22 & #11 K-State.

MSU would have beaten Nebraska who probably finishes 10-2 at worse and Ohio State who probably finishes at 10-2 also.

Big 10 is very weak this year.

pointless to argue because there is a lot of football left. I just don't see how TCU team would jump ND. Just doesn't make sense. If that was the case TCU would of jumped ND already. Same goes for MSU. These teams would of jumped ND already.

Guys, lots of football to be played.

Lots of scenarios could evolve with all the match-ups left in the SEC.

Lets also not forget that we still have to take the field and beat our opponents for the rest of the season. Non of our remaining games are gimmes

nah Big 12 not great this year. Plus that would knock out TCU then and they would have to move up a lot of spots. I don't see it. Only good think about Kansas st is that their loss is not a bad loss. It was against Auburn. Even though it was at home.
