+/- Steve Montador vs Tyler Myers

I thought this was interesting.

While the Sabres have scored 24 goals and allowed 24 goals:

Steve Montador +9 Tied for 1st in NHL

Tyler Myers -8 Tied for last in NHL

Myers is definitely Buffalo's whipping boy so far. Connolly will retake that spot, tho. He's comfortable there.

Myers has looked really bad so far this season, and I really hope he turns it around soon.

He said he is adjusting to players paying more attention to him and I am not concerned at all about him.
He has had a few bad breaks like losing an edge and falling that led to a goal.

I am not worried about him at all. There are a few other I am more concerned about, lke Vanek making all of the money he is and not scoring, although he seems to be coming out of his slump. Myers is just beginning his second year, Vanek is a vet.

Myers is very talented and will be fine.

+/- is a terrible stat when considered in the short-term. I wouldn't put any stock in that.
