Why is it that every team I root for loses? :L

People should pay me money to root for the team they are playing against.

Maybe it's just semantics, but I don't agree with describing the Blues as performing a choke job. Yes, they have home ice advantage, but they're playing the defending Stanley Cup Champions. I think most people had this series as a toss-up and plenty of people picked the Hawks to defeat the Blues, especailly based on how the Blues were playing entering the playoffs.

It's not a choke losing to the hawks especially in 6 or 7 maybe in 4 if blown out but not this way

The expectations they had going into the playoffs, even after losing six in a row, were to make a deep run - this team gets talked about extremely highly yet can't make a deep run - at the very least they should have won last night - it's just situations like that in which you wonder if they have the mental fortitude to ever make a deep run

If you want choke job look at the Canucks the last 2 years this just doesn't say choke to me plus it's not done yet

Is it a choke if they take it seven games and game 6 and 7 go Into double OTs and they lose in seven?

Considering they had a 2-0 series lead and they had a 2-0 series lead last season, to me I feel like it would - Blues have finished 1st, 2nd and 2nd in their respective divisions the last three seasons and they won't be able to get to at least the Conference Finals in any of those years, in all likelihood? This team during the regular season was talked about being able to go all the way and when they got Ryan Miller, everyone thought they cinched a trip to the Finals

It's not done yet but I've seen this script many times with the Blues, they're going to have to play one of their best games in a while in Chicago and even then they might not win - they played great in game 3 and got shutout 2-0, that doesn't bode well going forward

They've gotten a lot of hype the last few years and they haven't been getting it done - two years ago I can understand, even last season to an extent, but now is the year that they needed to make that deep run, the whole third time is a charm type of thing - it'd be extremely deflating for their fanbase if they went down like this again this year

Your points are valid but I still can't say choke if losing to the hawks that would disrespect what the hawks have been and still are .. Formidable champions

Thing is, the Blues should have never had to face Chicago in the first place - if they won 2 or 3 of their last six games they would have faced either Minnesota or Dallas instead - so they probably deserve to lose this series anyways after how they finished the season - I thought they'd be able to bounce back in this series but I guess they might not
