*Eric Martin sure is a cocky little bastard. I like that.

*Forget Tray, Helu looks better on the hoof this year than I've seen him.

*It goes without saying that Hardrick (#50) is a LARGE human being. Coaches say he's raw but I see him starting at some point this year.

I think Suh taught him well on how to handle the spot light and how to be a leader. Hopefully, that keeps getting passed down.

Also, blurb on Scout says that the QB's were throwing deep and that Cody Green was the most impressive with strength and accuracy... My money's on him starting the season.. I'll probably lose my money though..

lmao,

Eric Martin- "We'll see who brings it and who don't, that's when the skirts lift up." (talking about wearing pads)

He was impressive in practice last year too. Joe Dailey back in 2004 was impressive in practice also, but we all saw what he did in games. Maybe Green should think about a position change?

Green was not the most impressive in practice last year, he threw a lot of picks.. also having our future QB (at least 2 years starting) change positions would be the dumbest thing we could do.

I'm not trying to piss anyone off here, but the reason why I think he should think about a position change, is because I truly don't believe he's going to improve enough to be a really good QB at NU.

Why not? and what position would a QB who's main skill set lies in throwing a football switch to?

I don't agree with zorby at all, but QB's whos main skill set lies in throwing the ball, can go lots of places.

Anquan Boldin to WR at FSU
Kerry Meier to WR at Kansas
Michael Robinson to RB (Penn State) as a 49er
Brad Smith to WR (mizzou) as a Jet
Antwan Randal-El (Indiana) as a Steeler

The point I am REALLY making, is Green's main skill is not in his arm, he's a great runner who happens to be pretty good at throwing also. He could easily be a good receiver with his size, speed, and agility...assuming he catches better than our receivers last year :)

I don't see Cody transitioning well to WR, he's not THAT fast and he'll be a damn good QB.. just not as a true freshmen.. which i would argue that he never really was given much chance when he saw playing time last year..

Receiver, kick returner, or riding the bench for Green. He's wasting reps for other candidates right now.
