- Most preseason polls have Oregon as the Pac-12 favorite, but SI has them third behind Stanford and UCLA.

- Similarly, Michigan State ahead of Ohio State is a bit against the general preseason grain.

- No Texas.

- Must be the first time in a really long time that a major publication has Marshall in the Top 25.

The good news for the rest of the country is I think they have play each other this year.

I'd move Oklahoma up to 3rd or even 2nd and also raise UCLA. I would drop Stanford and Michigan State a notch or 2. Oregon should be higher and I would rank Iowa.
