11. Wisconsin (Big 10)

12. Notre Dame (independent)
13. Baylor (Big 12)
14. USC (Pac-12)
15. Georgia (SEC)
16. South Carolina (SEC)
17. Clemson (ACC)
18. Texas Tech (Big 12)
19. Mississippi (SEC)
20. Arizona State (Pac-12)
21. Missouri (SEC)
22. Texas A&M (SEC)
23. North Carolina (ACC)
24. Oklahoma State (Big 12)
25. Marshall (C-USA)

Teams italicized have no business being ranked, only bold are over ranked, underlined are slightly over ranked, highlighted red under ranked.

A&M and Tech under no circumstances should be on this list.

LSU- qb controversy, lost most of offense.
Wisconsin- seem too high.
Notre Dame- typical pre-season over-hyping.
Baylor- one season thing, will not be as good as last year.
USC- no way are they 14 material. Late teens to 20's at best.

UCLA- I can't put them above 10. Not completely sold just yet.

Oklahoma- I have more faith in them than Auby and Stanford.

Think still too much of this list is being based on last years results. Stanford lost a bunch of important starters to the draft and grad this time.

Oregon at 9 is a bit high. They have Mariota back, but they lost a bunch of starters, especially on D, and there is big question marks at WR now.

UCLA seems a bit high.

USC should be in the 20s. Their depth is razor thin at many positions this year. They'll have a stable crew of coaches this year, but they'll be very beatable in the second half of games when everyone is extra gassed.

Can't argue with that reasoning.

Hmmm....Wisconsin is #11 but Iowa is not on the list despite some folks believing the Hawkeyes to be the best team in the B1G West Div. for 2014.

That's like being the fastest runner in a race at the special Olympics.

LSU- qb controversy, lost most of offense. UGA, USCe & Clemson all lost their QB's, so their rankings are justified ?

USC- no way are they 14 material. Late teens to 20's at best. USC will have the top DL in the nation

And the biggest reason Texas isn't there is because we don't have a quarterback.

I don't think anyone knows what to expect from Texas. New offense, new defense, and a new coach. Will Strong go Saban's and put a lot of youth out there in his first yr, knowing you get the year one pass? Talk to any Texas fan and none of them would be surprised about 8 or 10 wins, just too many variables

Can't take ant poll serious that only has 8 SEC teams ranked and those weren't even 1-8 as the obviously should be.

I could see Texas winning anywhere between 6 and 10 games, but I'm guessing 7-8.

Honestly, I could just as easily see us winning the PAC and getting a spot in the playoff or finishing out of the top 25.

I'd take our top 35 or so players against anyone else in the country and like our chances. However, an injury or 2 in the wrong spots and we could be in real trouble. For example, we might be able to withstand 1 injury to our defensive backfield, but 2 or more could be devastating, especially in a conference with passing attacks like the PAC has.
