Ummm... 9+3+3=13???

:wtf2:

Hang on, let me get my 4th grader in here to 'splain this...

sPitt gave the safety ON PURPOSE late in the game to not give us the opportunity to block the punt. 7+3+3=13 :lame::lame::lame:

I am guessing Bill Snyder and KST special teams coach we will be called on to resign today...(DH Rules)

I don't understand why you guys put physical errors on the same plane as what the kids are being taught. HUGE difference between a fumble, dropped pass, missed FG, and being coached to bring the ball out of the end zone on kickoffs, going for it on 4th and 4 in the red zone with a great kicker, coaching defenders to strip the ball rather than tackling. WOW :lame:

REALLY? with YOUR fourth grader comment?????:omg:
:lame:

I was wrong and got called out on it. I forget things, that safety being one of them. So yeah, it would have been 13 all. Now that I'm done feeling like I just talked to my 4th grader, having had to repeat myself 3 times...

Looks like we need to keep a running score for this..

Oklahoma IMO you have to say this is another check in the negative column.

Lambert looked great booting a 54 yard FG and that boosted the crowd, but the damn 100 yard return right after we went up seven and looked very impressive just took the wind out of our sails.

I am the first to say don't fire a coach during the middle of a season, but damn if we keep up this offensive attack and every time we turn around they are putting one in the endzone on special teams for a score we have to can him.

So Report card so far:

Alabama-A
Towson-A
Maryland-C-
Oklahoma-D-

I still think Defforest can turn these teams around and he has brought us some great talent kicking wise, but damn he has to fix these things sooner rather than later or we will not win big games like Saturday.

There are more negatives than positives on STs so far this year, WVU is returning punts at 7 yds per, giving up 24 yds per, we have given up a punt and kickoff return for a TD, we are missing one in three FG attempts, and every bad play by STs seems to occur at a critical time in the games. ALSO hurting are turnovers, WVU has turned the ball over through fumbles and INTs 8 times in four games, while forcing only 3 INTs, we have not received a fumble recovery yet this year.

While Coach DeForrest is the ST Coordinator, I think he coaches the kickers. The coverage teams are coached by Galloway. As with any job, the responsibility for the ST's falls on the coordinator... but, it isn't like Joe is failing to coach up the coverage teams. That would be Lonnie.

ST's have been a problem for a long time with WVU. This ain't nothing new.

Under Stewart, WVU had one of the worst coverage teams in the country.

HUH, WVU gave up more kickoff returns for TD Saturday than the entire time Stewart was STC alone.

Like I said... this ain't nothing new...

Doesn't mean it doesn't need to be fixed... just an ongoing issue for this program...

Giving up TD's in back to back weeks is alarming...they have to get this fixed...

Yet again, read the post, THEN respond, 2008 he was HC, taking time away from ST. I said when he was ONLY STC, just as Efore is today.

Fair enough. I was confused since I only saw him in the ST huddles though the games.
