Today is a good day boys.
One of the very best things about watching Vaughn bat is that he doesn't unwrap and rewrap his velcro gloves between each pitch.
Other than the whole Bassitt thing.Today is a good day boys.
Hey, who knows what influence Katz has had with Lopez, but whatever spell he's placed on him, it's working big time. Minus two harmless walks, ReyLo was challenging the A's hitters all night by zeroing in on the strike zone early in each at bat.If we are seeing a "Lazarus" Lopez since he was called up - that's a sign that spiritual powers are helping out in the background. Or, maybe Katz should get the pitching coach of the year.
Read my post right before yours. The man was zoned in tonite, throwing lots of 1st pitch strikes and mixing up his pitches to keep the A's hitters off balance.just got here. like it!
but what is up with lopez?
And with Houston losing again tonite, we are now just a half game back of them for what I feel is the all-important #2 seed. Yes, I'm always watching the scoreboard and the standings.
I don't know what to think of this Rey Lopez thing. If we are seeing a "Lazarus" Lopez since he was called up - that's a sign that spiritual powers are helping out in the background. Or, maybe Katz should get the pitching coach of the year.
I know exactly what you mean. Lopez is that proverbial hot chick you keep trying get in the sack, but she keeps coming up with cheesy excuses to avoid it. I'm truly just taking it day by day with him. I figure every successful outing we get from the guy is one more than I expected. And he's become even more essential with Rodon still out. I'm not crazy about using an opener every 5th start, so if he can give us starter innings when he takes the mound, we should consider it a blessing.I don't know what to think of this Rey Lopez thing.
But I know if I cave in here and warm up to him? He will immediately go back to horrifically sucking. So... I'm not buying it.
I'm hoping the Rodon train lasts long enough to get us thru the playoffs. After that he can choochoo his way to anywhere he wants to go.Reynaldo Lopez is Groundhog Day from hell.
I refuse to be fooled.
They already got me on the Rodon train...I ain't taking the transfer ticket.
That's why I was disappointed when he failed to bring in Anderson from 3rd, which would have given the Sox their 10th run, as well as giving him his 90th rib, along with sole possession of 1st in the Majors. This season is "magically delicious."
In case anyone missed it - Abreu took the MLB lead in RBIs last night with the 3 run bop.

So here's an article giving us some analysis as to why Lopez was so sucky and the changes he's made to be non-sucky and hopefully remain this way:I know exactly what you mean.
